I'm a former elementary art teacher, and in 2007 an Earth Day lesson turning broken crayons into something new grew into Art 2 the Extreme® — home of The Original Rainbow Crayon®. Every order is still packed by hand by me and my small Crayon Crew, alongside my husband Eric, in our studio here in Noblesville, Indiana. Crayons are made from recycled premium brand crayons with no loose glitter or added ingredients. As with any small parts, adult supervision is recommended and the crayons are not intended for children under 3.
Every crayon name is handmade from a mix of new and recycled crayons, so color blends vary slightly from batch to batch — that's part of what makes each one one-of-a-kind.
